Vinous Neal Martin - 31 May 22
The 2020 Pernand-Vergelesses Les Fichots 1er Cru has a dense nose with blackberry, raspberry and light violet aromas. The palate is quite concentrated with high-toned cassis-tinged red fruit, hints of blood orange that emerge with time. Very generous and fruit driven, the 50% new oak here will demand 3-4 years to fully integrate, but it should be worth the wait.
